Teriberka is a village in the Kola district of the Murmansk region. This is an old settlement that was known only to the locals and guides who organized hunting for the Northern Lights. 120 km from Murmansk and you find yourself in the world of a semi-abandoned fishing village beyond the Arctic Circle, which became very popular after the release of the film "Leviathan". Almost nothing is left of the scenery for the film.
The first mention of this settlement dates back to the 16th century. Modern look - more abandoned old buildings than modern buildings. Interesting places here are a dilapidated school, a chapel on the site where the temple was, and a waterfall that flows into the Arctic Ocean.
Nature and landscapes are striking. Cold winters last from November to April, and summer from June to late August. Sandy beaches along the Arctic Ocean, a waterfall flowing into the ocean, and hills covered with colorful moss - this is the image of the Far North. The Arctic burns here with its icy breath.
